Amazon title deadline  ·  July 27, 2026

On July 27, Amazon's AI starts
rewriting Amazon titles.
Take back control before it rewrites yours.

From July 27, Amazon enforces a 75-character title limit across all categories. Titles over the limit get auto-rewritten by Amazon's AI — optimized for Amazon's model. You get a 14-day window to approve or override.

Keoxs tells you which keywords deserve those 75 characters for your product, what moves to the new Item Highlights field, and what goes to backend so you don't lose indexation.

The facts

What changes on July 27, 2026

Per Amazon's Seller Central announcement, June 10, 2026.

75-character hard cap on titles

All product categories except media (books, music, video) must have titles of 75 characters or fewer — including spaces. If yours is longer, it's flagged as non-compliant.

Amazon's AI auto-rewrites over-limit titles

After July 27, Amazon gradually applies its own AI-generated title to any listing over the limit — optimized for Amazon's model. Your original title gets replaced if you don't act first.

A review window to approve or replace

Brand owners get a window in "Review Listing Changes" to review the AI-generated title and Item Highlights, modify them, and approve. Miss the window and Amazon's version goes live by default.

New: Amazon "Item Highlights" field (125 characters)

Launched alongside the title cap: a new searchable field, visible in search results and on product pages. It's designed for the attributes that no longer fit in the 75-char title — technical specs, use cases, materials. Keoxs drafts your Item Highlights as part of Title Rescue.

Why Amazon's free tool isn't enough

This isn't a critique of Amazon's tooling — it's an honest description of what each tool is designed to do.

Amazon's free AI tool
  • Fits your title to 75 characters
  • Generates an Item Highlights draft
  • Optimized for Amazon's recommendation model
  • Doesn't know which keywords drive YOUR specific product's discovery
  • Doesn't tell you what to move to backend Search Terms to preserve indexation
  • No diagnostic of what else is holding back your listing
Keoxs Title Rescue
  • 75-character-compliant title, grounded only on your real product data
  • Uses buyer intent frameworks (COSMO × SPN, from Amazon's published research) to decide which keywords deserve the 75 characters
  • Item Highlights field, drafting what used to be in characters 76–200 of your title
  • Backend keyword relocation list — words displaced from the title that belong in Amazon's Search Terms so you don't lose indexation
  • Full listing diagnostic as a free bonus — every gap across bullets, description, images, reviews, visible immediately

"Compatible with 75 characters" isn't a differentiator — a text box is. The differentiator is which keywords you keep and why.
